Description
The sunny 4 1/2-room holiday flat for 2-5 people is located on the ground floor of our chalet with a wonderful view of the Diemtigtal valley, the Niesen mountain range and the village of Diemtigen. It was partially renovated in 2018 and offers every comfort and plenty of space with 3 bedrooms, a spacious living and dining area with Swedish stove, a modern kitchen with dishwasher, oven and fridge, a large bathroom with bathtub/shower, two balconies and a terrace, free WiFi and a washing machine in the flat. There is a free parking space for 1 car. The flat is also very easy to reach by public transport (post bus stop 100m) and is suitable as a starting point for various activities in the Diemtigtal Nature Park and the Bernese Oberland throughout the year as well as for relaxing.

Village description: Diemtigen lies on a hill at the entrance to the Diemtigtal valley. Together with the church, the village forms the historic centre of the valley. Diemtigen is home to numerous well-preserved houses that reflect the carpentry skills of the past 300 years
The Diemtigtal Nature Park stretches across the valley of the same name and covers 130 km2. Diemtigtal is home to the largest alpine farming area in Switzerland. On 67 hectares, there is a strong, well-developed alpine economy with a great diversity of plant and insect species thanks to years of extensive farming.
In summer, the Diemtigtal offers many opportunities for hiking, biking and paragliding. In winter, it is a popular destination for skiing or snowboarding, as well as for snowshoe hikes and ski tours.
Diemtigen is also a great base for exploring the rest of the Bernese Oberland, such as the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau World Heritage Site and the towns of Thun and Bern.
