Downstairs, the tranquil double bedroom invites rest and relaxation, featuring soft linens, a traditional wooden bedframe, and whitewashed exposed beams that speak to the cottage’s historic character. Natural light pours in through the window, framing soothing views of the surrounding countryside. The cottage is ideally placed for walkers and cyclists on the Camel Trail, with the closest entry point at Tresarrett nearby. The nearest village is Blisland, complete with a traditional inn, village shop, post office, community café and ancient church all situated around a picturesque village green. The Church dedicated to St Protus and St Hyacinth was a favourite of Sir John Betjeman CBE, Poet Laureate. Walkers can make their way up onto nearby Bodmin Moor to explore sites such as Jubilee Rock, Alex Tor or Roughter.

Port Isaac is a beautiful town famed for the TV series Doc Martin. Padstow is also within easy reach, as are other great places to visit including the surfing beach at Polzeath, the shopping town of Wadebridge, the Eden Project, cycling trails at Cardinham Woods, and many fabulous other beaches such as Trebarwith Strand and Bedruthan Steps. The Grade II-listed property Pencarrow House offers a fun, dog-friendly day out, while the National Trust property Lanhydrock is also close by. The immersive historical attraction The Story of Emily and the Cornish hedge labyrinth Kerdroya are also within travelling distance.
