Michael Dengg wrote books about local customs and collected countless folk tales. Even today, his works "Lungau Folk Life" (1913) and "Lungau Folk Tales" (1922) are considered standard literature in Lungau folklore. He learned the bricklaying trade, specializing in stoves, stoves and ovens. Michael Dengg was also active in Mauterndorf Castle and Moosham Castle. In 1937 he built the Heimathaus Dengg in place of the dilapidated Plierscherkeusche. This was bought by his nephew Michael and his wife Nina in 2019 and lovingly renovated. Great importance was attached to preserving the external appearance of 1937 and letting the stories and legends from the Lungau of Michael Dengg and his hometown live on.
