For us it is important that you as a customer of Feline Holidays A/S (Ltd.) (in the following "Feline Holidays A/S (Ltd.)", "us", "we", "our" will refer to Feline Holidays A/S (Ltd.)) will be provided with security and therefore we will do everything possible to ensure the protection, a proper processing as well as the storage of your personal data provided to us in connection with the use of our websites and the booking of any holiday accommodations and trips.

The entire handling of personal data shall be made by us in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation and its supplementary provisions, among others the Danish Act on the Protection of Personal Data (hereinafter referred to as "data protection regulations").

In the following, you will learn how your data are processed and used by us if you visit our websites and book any holiday accommodations and trips with Feline Holidays A/S (Ltd.).

Data protection officer

Feline Holidays A/S (Ltd.) shall be the data protection officer for the handling of personal data consigned to us by you.

Your rights

In accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Data you shall have a number of rights with respect to how your personal data being processed by us. The most important rights shall be as follows:

  • You shall be entitled to find out how your personal data are processed and used by us.
  • You shall be entitled to examine your personal data available on our side.
  • You shall be entitled to have corrected any personal data that are wrong.
  • You shall be entitled to have deleted your personal data.
  • You shall be entitled to file an objection against your personal data being used for purposes of direct marketing which you have not consented to.
  • You shall be entitled to file an objection against any individual decisions based on an automation.
  • You shall be entitled to transfer your personal data (data transferability).

If you would like to exercise your rights, please send us a corresponding notification to secure-data@feline-holidays.com. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that in some cases it might be necessary to register and save your notification for ensuring your rights being preserved.

Remedies

You may lodge an opposition against the registration of your personal data with our data protection officer at any time by sending an email to: secure-data@feline-holidays.com.
Should you not be satisfied with the way your opposition is being handled, you may file a complaint with the Danish Data Supervisory Authority (Datatilsynet) afterwards that will look into the matter and take a decision.

Definition of personal data

What are personal data?

Personal data are any kind of information that can directly or indirectly be associated with specific persons. This may include e.g. any names, telephone numbers, addresses, etc.

How will personal data be collected by us?

Personal data collected from you by us will be provided by you.

Booking of holiday accommodations or trips

Which personal data will be collected and processed?

We will collect and process the following personal data on you as a customer. The purpose of the collection of personal data shall be for making and organising your reservation. The processing shall be necessary in order to fulfil the reservation contract concluded with you. Legal basis shall be Article 6, section 1, subparagraph b of the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

  • Name
  • Address
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Sex
  • Age of the persons staying overnight, if applicable
  • IP address

Your IP address will exclusively be stored for the purpose of finding and correcting any mistakes. The IP address shall be deleted automatically within 30 days after registration.

Disclosure and transfer of personal data

We will pass your personal data on to the agency or cooperation partner being responsible for the holiday accommodation or trip booked by you. Disclosure of such data shall serve to make the reservation. Should there be any questions in connection with your booking, we will use your personal data in order to contact you.

Any personal data consigned to us by you on the occasion of booking any holiday accommodation or any trip shall not be transferred to any third country.

Moreover, we will pass your personal data on to our order processors, e.g. our providers of hosting and storage services. We have concluded data processing contracts with our order processors, ensuring the data protection regulations being observed.

Anonymisation of personal data

Any personal data received by us will be used afterwards for internal statistical analyses in an anonymised form. This means that any data that may be associated with your person shall be deleted. Then, we are able to see e.g. how many bookings in any specific country or area have been made by customers from Denmark, but there will be no way of seeing who these customers are.

Personal data will be anonymised by us as follows:

  • Completed or cancelled bookings will be anonymised within three years from the departure date.
  • Non-completed bookings will be anonymised within 14 days from the registration date.

Credit card data

When and why will you be asked by us for your credit card data?

If you make a booking with us, you might be asked by us to indicate your credit card data. Such data shall be used for the following purposes:

  • Lodging of any security for payment of the booking in the event that you will not pay without prior cancellation of the booking.
  • Payment of any fees related to the cancellation.

Which data will be collected by us?

We will collect your name and your credit card data. The processing shall be necessary in order to fulfil the reservation contract concluded with you. Legal basis shall be Article 6, section 1, subparagraph b of the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

Processing of your data

The data collected by us (name and credit card data) will be registered and kept by a certified cooperation partner.

Access to the credit card data

We will not have any access to the credit card data consigned to us in connection with your booking. However, we will have a key at hand enabling us to debit your credit card with any amounts of money. However, this shall only be made in the event of non-payment without prior cancellation or in case of any cancellation for fees.

Gift cards

Which data will be collected by us?

In connection with ordering gift cards we will ask you for various personal data for contractual reasons. The purpose of the collection of such data shall be for carrying out purchase and redemption of the gift card at a later point of time.

The following data will be collected and processed by us:

  • Recipient´s name
  • Recipient´s address
  • Notification of the recipient of the gift card, if applicable
  • Buyer´s name
  • Buyer´s telephone number
  • Buyer´s email address
  • Buyer´s address

Processing of your data

We will register and store your data for a period of up to four years from the issuing date of the gift card. The processing shall be necessary in order to fulfil the contract concluded with you on the gift card order. Legal basis shall be Article 6, section 1, subparagraph b of the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

Anonymisation of personal data

Your data will be anonymised four years after the issuing date of the gift card at the latest. The latter shall be for internal statistical analyses. This means that any data that may be associated with the recipient and the buyer shall be deleted.

We can see e.g. how many gift cards have been sold, but there will be no way of seeing who has bought or received them.

Credit card data

In connection with purchasing any gift card we will ask you for your credit card data in order to debit the amount for which you have purchased the gift card. We would like to refer to the section "Credit card data" above where further information can be found about how your credit card data are being processed by us.

Email and overall contact to the customer centre

Which data will be collected by us?

You will have the opportunity to send an email with any questions or queries to our customer centre. Moreover, you will have the option to complete a form if you have any questions with regard to a specific holiday accommodation or a specific trip.

In both cases, we will collect your email address as well as any personal data arising from the query. The latter shall normally involve your contact data.

The purpose of the data collection shall be for processing your query and for contacting you in connection with the processing of your data by us.

The legal basis shall be founded on the processing being necessary with regard to the implementation of any measures taken upon your query prior to conclusion of any potential reservation contract, cf. Article 6, section 1, subparagraph b of the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

Legal basis for the processing may also be our legitimate interest in providing services to our customers, cf. Article 6, section 1, subparagraph f of the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

Processing of your data

We will charge our cooperation partner HelpScout with processinig the correspondence. HelpScout shall comply with the regulations on the handling of data agreed upon between the USA and the EU (Privacy Shield). Moreover, we have concluded an order processing contract for the data, ensuring the data protection regulations being observed.

Disclosure and transfer of personal data

HelpScout will store the data in data centres located at different places throughout the whole world, and among others in the USA. As a consequence, the latter shall include a transmission of personal data to any third country.

Email and direct contact to any specific employees

Which data will be collected?

We will register your email address as well as additonally any personal data indicated by you in connection with your question or query. The latter may include e.g. your contact data. In cases of your query referring to the possible hiring of any holiday accommodation, the employees will pass your personal data as well as your requests with regard to the holiday accommodation on to our customer centre. Then, your query will be processed by the customer centre in the system used there (see section "Email and overall contact to the customer centre").

The legal basis for the processing shall be founded on the processing being necessary with regard to the fulfilment of the reservation contract concluded with you as well as the implementation of any measures taken prior to conclusion of any potential reservation contract, cf. Article 6, section 1, subparagraph b of the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

Legal basis for the processing may also be our legitimate interest in providing services to our customers, cf. Article 6, section 1, subparagraph f of the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

Processing of your data

We will charge our cooperation partner Microsoft with processing the correspondence. Microsoft shall comply with the regulations on the handling of data agreed upon between the USA and the EU (Privacy Shield). Moreover, we have concluded a contract, ensuring that the Danish Act on the Protection of Personal Data will be complied with.

Microsoft will store the data in data centres located at different places throughout the whole world, and among others in the USA. As a consequence, the latter shall include a transmission of personal data to any third country.

Personal and telephone contact

Which data will be collected by us?

We will register any personal data indicated by you in connection with your question or your enquiry. The latter may include e.g. your contact data.

Processing of your data

In cases of you having indicated an email address and your query referring to the possible hiring of any holiday accommodation or the booking of any trip, your personal data as well as your requests with regard to the holiday accommodation/trip will be passed on to our customer centre. Then, your query will be processed by the customer centre in the system used there (see section "Email and form (customer centre)" above).

If you do not have any email address and therefore contact us personally or by telephone in order to get help from us, we will make the booking for you. In this context, we will collect the same personal data (with the exception of the email address) which can be found in the section ”Booking of holiday accommodations or trips” above.

Backup

Which data will be involved in a backup?

A complete copy of all data will be available to us in several versions. The latter shall ensure that we will be able to restore any data that might get lost, e.g. due to a hardware failure, at any time.

Our backups will be stored at a cooperation partner in Denmark.

Facebook

Which data will be collected?

In our portals, logging in can be made by way of your Facebook login data. The purpose of the login shall be that the holiday accommodations and/or trips selected by you as favourites will be stored and can be shared with others. Your Facebook login data will be used for confirming your identity enabling us to display the correct favourites. The data will be stored on our side – Facebook shall have no access to the latter.

The legal basis for the processing shall be founded on the processing being necessary with regard to the implementation of any measures taken prior to conclusion of any potential reservation contract, cf. Article 6, section 1, subparagraph b of the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

After your login, we will ask for your Facebook name and will display the latter on the website to which you are logged in. In this process, your name shall exclusively be displayed to you while being logged in – it shall not be visible to any others.

Processing of your data

Your favourites and login data shall be deleted within 18 months after the latest login. Moreover, the data shall be deleted in the event that you decide to remove yourself as a user from the website to which you have logged in.

Facebook shall comply with the regulations on the handling of data agreed upon between the USA and the EU (Privacy Shield).

Trustpilot

In connection with you making a reservation, we hope that you will assess your experience with the booking process through Trustpilot. A link indicated in your booking confirmation can be used to simply make this assessment and send the latter to Trustpilot.
We will read all assessments and use the latter among others to improve our website. Your opinion is very important for us.

For verifying your customer relationship with us we will pass your email address as well as your reservation number on to Trustpilot.

Trustpilot can use your email address in order to make sure that in connection with your registration you really made a purchase from us. The reservation number will only be used as a reference.

Processing of your data

We have concluded a data processing contract with Trustpilot and, in other words, we will have control over the data pssed on to Trustpilot.

Google Analytics

Which data will be collected?

We will use Google Analytics in order to analyse any visits, statistical data, etc. for legitimate reasons. With the help of such data we will be able to improve our websites for offering a better user experience. The data collected shall include your IP address in an anonymised form.

Moreover, various data will be collected by us in an anonymised form. The latter shall include e.g. any details about the type of gadget you are using (mobile phone, tablet computer or computer), screen size, operating system, etc.

We will only have the possibility of seeing the data in a collected and anonymised form. The IP addresses cannot be seen in Google Analytics and therefore we will not have any possibility of bringing the remaining data in connection with any specific IP address.

Processing of your data

Your IP address will be sent to Google together with the remaining data. Google shall comply with the regulations on the handling of data agreed upon between the USA and the EU (Privacy Shield).

Part of the data sent to Google (data connected with cookies, User IDs and Ad-IDs) will be stored by Google for a period of 26 months. Afterwards the latter shall automatically be deleted.
