Description
Our house on the Plougastel peninsula, in a small village by the sea, is the ideal place for lovers of the countryside and the sea: 3 bedrooms, a living room, a large kitchen-dining room, and a terrace in a large garden. Hikes, walks by the sea, boat trips, visits to Brest Castle and Océanopolis, excursions to the islands, cormorant watching, or just relaxing in our garden, under the big pine tree, or listening to the owls at nightfall.
Among the walks and visits nearby, we particularly like the seaside, for swimming, fishing, sailing on old sailing ships, excursions to the islands (Ouessant, Sein, the Molène archipelago, etc.) etc... The Océanopolis centre, 15 minutes away by car, is perfect for discovering the marine world for young and old alike.
The small sunken lanes allow you to criss-cross the countryside endlessly, to observe the natural environment (cormorants, terns, around the Etang du Caro) and to discover the undulating landscapes and sometimes surprises at the bend in the road: Vauban fortifications, old fishing ports from the shellfishing era, small chapels characteristic of Plougastel.
If you love the sea and the countryside, you'll love the charm of the peninsula.
