Voor mij een vijf-sterrenlocatie omdat de eenvoudig ingerichte éénpersoonskamers precies bieden wat ik als historicus tijdens een onderzoekstrip of battlefield tour nodig heb: een bed, een tafel om te werken, toilet/douche en wat (afsluitbare) bergruimte voor persoonlijke spullen en kleding. Tijdens het gebruik van de keuken heb ik niets gemist (ik heb die alleen voor het ontbijt gebruikt).
Reason for choice:
Ten behoeve van een battlefield tour met de kinderen van een Amerikaanse veteraan die in dit gebied gewond raakte, zocht ik naar een betaalbare kamer die bovendien voldoende was uitgerust om s-avonds de voorbereidingen voor de dag erna te doen. Deze accommodatie leek dat allemaal te bieden. Ik kende de Baron al van eerder, dus besloot Schloss Thorn te proberen. De keuze is me goed bevallen - dus ik kom zeker terug!

Das Einzelzimmer mit durch Tür abgeteilter komfortabler Naßzelle ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Super Matratze, klasse Internet. Auch Selbstverpflegung in gut ausgestatteter Küche prima.
