Modern and cozy: Lovingly furnished XXL farmhouse on a huge 3,300 square meter garden plot on the edge of Mecklenburg Switzerland in the beautiful Peenetal nature reserve. There is no through traffic in this tranquil little town on the Peene, so those seeking peace and quiet and nature lovers will get their money's worth. In addition to a cozy barbecue area, the property includes a children's house, sandpit and swing as well as a sauna with relaxation room. A cozy lounge with a fully equipped kitchen also offers space for sociable evenings. Cranes and storks can be easily observed in the varied landscape with forests, meadows and rivers. For excursions on the nearby Peene, canoes and kayaks with life jackets are available in the boat shed, subject to availability. The district of Upost in the Peenetal near Lake Kummerow is part of the municipality of Warrenzin, which in turn is part of the Mecklenburg Lake District and is located west of the city of Demmin. Parts of this region have been designated as a nature reserve since 2010. The slitting of the dikes created a paradise for rare bird species such as wild geese. The area is a popular holiday region, especially for water hikers, as its many forests, meadows and rivers provide ideal conditions for a carefree day in the fresh air. You can also find some rare flora and fauna here. Rural tranquility at its finest! A special feature near Upost is a large stone grave in the middle of the forest, which is rarely found in this region and may be attributed to megalithic architecture. Highlights included: 2 canoes, 7 kayaks and 1 double kayak Activities nearby: Enjoy paddling on the Peene or Kummerower See in the hotel's own canoes or kayaks and stop at the Aalbude restaurant, where you can dine on delicious fish.
