Description

Agios Matheos is a beautiful mountainous village located 25 km south west of Corfu. Its population reaches 2500 inhabitants who are mainly involved in agriculture. The village is built amidst lush forests on the slopes of Mount Gamilios surrounded by many charming stone houses. Agios Matheos consists of both modern and old buildings, monasteries and beautiful churches. A paved road leads to the Monastery of Pantokrator and the Grava Cave. Gardiki Castle is one of the most impressive ancient sites in the village. The popular beach of Agios Matheos is located 3.5 km from the traditional settlement and attracts many visitors every year. You can also visit the isolated beach of Halikounas located nearby the village. The ground floor is about 92 m² in size and comprises of the following rooms: Two living rooms, one with a fireplace, a flatscreen TV, a double sofa. Plus there is a fully-equipped kitchen with an oven, coffee machines and a dining area for 8 persons. The second living room is in a slighter upper level which consists of a musical instruments' corner, a double sofa, a library. A peaceful area for readers and artists. Next to it there is a bathroom with a bathtub and a toilette. Lastly there is also a fitness room next to it and the door that leads to the exterior barbecue area. Wooden stairs from the first ground floor level, leads you to the first floor which consists of three bedrooms with enclosed wardrobes in each one of them. one of them has its private bathroom with shower. There is also a bathroom with bathtub on the floor. There is also a door which leads to a balcony with stairs to barbecue area. Following upwards the wooden stairs leads you into the last- high attic- room with its personal wardrobe space. It consists of two single beds, which, uppon request, could be transformed into a double bed with an additional mattress. Heating and air conditioning is available throughout the house. On the exterior there is a parking space in the front, along with a coffee table. At the back yard there is the barbecue area with plenty of decorating space to eat your lunch and/or your dinner on a wooden large table for 10 persons.
