Description

Our house is situated approx. 930 metres above sea level in an absolutely secluded location with a fantastic view of the Cuneo plain and the surrounding three thousand metre peaks of the Piedmont Alps. The south-facing location means we have glorious sunshine all day long. The holiday flat with approx. 45 sqm is located on the ground floor with its own entrance. W-Lan (WIFI) is available free of charge throughout the property and parking is available directly at the house. Access from Morra del Villar on a tarmac mountain road, the last approx. 150 m on a gravel road that is easy to drive on. Even in winter the road is cleared of snow up to the house. Our house is located at the entrance to the Valle Maira. As every season has its charm, here are just a few possibilities for an entertaining holiday. The Ligurian coast is about 100 km away with the famous beaches of Alassio, Sanremo or Monaco. For wine lovers and truffle connoisseurs, the Langhe is approx. 50 km away with the famous towns of Barolo and Alba not far away. In autumn we have chestnuts for tasting on our own property. In the snow-free season you can go on wonderful hikes or mountain bike tours in the valleys, the famous Percorsi Occitani hiking trail in our valley can be reached directly from the house. For the more sporty guests, we have several via ferratas and challenging high-altitude trails and climbing routes of all levels of difficulty in the valley (via ferrata equipment or snowshoes can be hired from us in winter). The take-off point for paragliders can be reached on foot. In winter, the valley is known for its wonderful ski tours. Thanks to the many hours of sunshine we have in the Southern Alps, ski tours can be undertaken in December even at suitable LWS levels. Our surrounding ski areas are also within easy reach (ski season in the ski areas from the end of November to the end of April depending on snow conditions), snowshoe hikes and ski tours can also be started directly from the house if the snow conditions are suitable. The apartment has a large living room with integrated fully equipped kitchen (extractor fan, induction hob, oven, fridge with freezer compartment, espresso machine, etc.). In the living room there is a TV/radio with German and Italian channels and a sofa bed for two people for our guests. A hallway with wardrobe leads to the bathroom with WC, bidet, washbasin and a large walk-in shower. Next door is the bedroom with wardrobe and a double bed for two people, a cot can be added if required. Our house is heated by an environmentally friendly pellet/solar heating system. There is underfloor heating throughout the flat and German electrical sockets are also available.

Around the house is a large terrace with barbecue and pizza house, as well as a 5,000 square metre natural plot with an old tree population that provides shade in summer. The entire property can be used by our holiday guests to relax.

Your host is a long-time mountain and ski tourer and will be happy to help you choose the most beautiful tours.
