The Arcos Grands Suites are 3 charming luxurious Suites plus 1 single bedroom located on a beautiful slope above the entrance of Arco da Calheta village. 


It is a large property with a high-level comfortable accommodation in a quiet location, has several terraces enjoying the uninterrupted panoramic sea view, and a subtropical garden of exotic fruit trees, vegetals, and banana trees. 


The property owner valued a stylish and friendly environment. The property has 3 double bedrooms suites prepared + 1 single bedroom, and with the possibility of a cradle for baby, all with private bathroom (shower), TV with big screen flat/HDMI set, and kitchenette. All the year very warm inside as is terminal isolated walls. 


The main suite has a big dining area that even can be put 2 tables together for a large group. The sitting areas are equipped with TVs with HDMI and Internet WI-FI router, modem on-suite bathrooms with cabin shower, and the kitchenette is fully equipped.


Outside you can enjoy the subtropical garden of exotic plants, fruit trees, the extra-large pool, the sunbathing areas with views of the ocean and the paradised village mountains. Also, there is an enormous BARBECUE with a lot of chairs and a large table, TV and very important outside full kitchen with a service bathroom with shower also to use for the swimming pool. It's a truly magical and relaxing scenario!

has wonderful views of the sea from the sunny garden and barbecue / external kitchen and all south-facing rooms. The large patio has a large swimming pool (14m x 5m x 1.2m deep) is available all year round - there is no need to heat as the water is always warm (summer around 26ºC) even in winter (around 20ºC)


The suites are isolated warms ideal for cooler winter evenings. Sleeping up to 8 adults comfortably in 3 on-suites bedrooms plus 1 single bedroom and an extra single bed in one of the suites, it is good for couples or families. The master two en-suite double bedrooms are also on the entrance level, so very easy access. 


From the suites, main doors lead out to the veranda and garden with its panoramic sea views offering peace and quiet.

 

Is situated in a quiet suburb only 2 minutes drive from the Via Rapido which gives easy access to many of Madeira's attractions. A 5 minutes drive takes you to the sandy Calheta beaches and Marina, cafes, and restaurants at Calheta marina. Other villages, with swimming areas and restaurants, are also nearby. 


There is private parking for even 2 small cars on the front drive of the property. The road outside is not busy, so other (or larger) cars can easily park here.


The house is now under the management of Ezekiel Freitas (agency ETCMADEIRA), who has many years of experience in the tourist market. He has his office on the front road of the same house and will be contactable during your stay if any problems develop. For guests staying for more than one week, will provide a mid-holiday bedding change.


About the town: The name Arco da Calheta comes from two elements. Firstly, arco (meaning arch) is a description of the semi-circular shape the hills form; Secondly, da Calheta refers to the close proximity to the neighboring civil parish of Calheta. This parish was one of the very first to be settled and subsequently farmed and is one of the wealthiest in artistic and patrimonial treasures. It was here that João Fernandes Andrade, known as João Fernandes do Arco settled at the end of the 15th century. He owned vast lands of wheat, sugar mills and slaves, and set up a home with a private chapel and chaplain. Arco da Calheta is mainly irrigated by a branch of the important Levada do Rabaçal and another known as Madre Grande, which has its origins in Paul da Serra. This parish’s confining limits are the civil parishes of Madalena do Mar and Calheta.


Local Tourist Attractions: Dolphin and whale watching and deep-sea fishing excursions are available from the Calheta marina (3 kilometers). Rabaçal (10 kilometers) is the start point for several of the most popular Levada and mountain walks on the island. There are over 1400 kilometers of Levada walks in Madeira with many more paths and tracks to explore taking you from 6000ft plus to sea level.
