Our beautiful bungalow in a typical local architectural style is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in the middle of the Santa Caterina holiday development, a small, tranquil complex right between the charming little town of Torroella de Montgri (3 km) and the livelier seaside resort of L'Estartit (3 km), where the kilometre-long sandy beach begins.holiday home Casa Sunnesching, Vall Gran 20, in L'Estartit: quietly located holiday home with lots of privacy for 6 people with shared pool The house consists of a large living/dining room with direct access to the kitchen and exit to the main terrace, three north-facing double bedrooms with fitted wardrobes, a bathroom with WC and bathtub, a bathroom with WC and shower and a garage, which is used as a storage room. The extensively equipped kitchen leaves nothing to be desired and has a ceramic hob with oven, fridge with large freezer compartment, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, Senseo coffee machine, milk frother, kettle, toaster, blender, etc. There is air conditioning in the living area and in the hallway to the bedrooms. A wood-burning stove and electric heaters are available for the colder months of the year. For entertainment, we have provided free Wi-Fi, a TV and a Bluetooth box. A high chair and a travel cot can be used for small children. In the spacious former garage room there is a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and a further fridge, as well as a practical wardrobe with shoe rack to keep the living areas tidy. There is also a charging station for electric cars, which is connected to our solar system and can be used by prior arrangement with us (please note: additional costs are charged according to consumption, you must bring your own type 2 charging cable). From the living/dining area you can access the large, wind and sun-protected main terrace with a large table and seating for 6 people. A further, also sheltered terrace with four sun loungers is located behind the house, as is our beautiful wooden terrace with bar and electric barbecue. The highlight of the house is our spacious roof terrace, open in all directions, with further attractive seating and a wonderful view of the nature reserve of the Montgri mountains as far as the Iles Medes. There are also two car parking spaces on the property. The originally designed communal pool with outdoor shower is only 30 metres from the house and is surrounded by a large, well-tended lawn. The town beach of L'Estartit is 3 km away and the kilometre-long sandy beach between Els Griells and Pals is 3.5 km away. You can set off directly from the house on wonderful hikes and mountain bike tours in the Montgrí Nature Park: through the pine-covered dune area between L'Escala and L'Estartit, along an exciting rocky path up to the medieval Castell del Montgri or along several cliff paths down to tranquil bays at the foothills of the Montgri mountains. Important sights of the Empordà are no more than half an hour away: e.g. the charming little town of Begur, the two medieval villages of Pals and Peratallada, the Roman archaeological site of Empúries, Figueres with its famous Dalí Museum etc.; it is 66 km to Cadaqués and approx. 37 km to Girona. Girona airport can be reached in approx. 45 minutes, Barcelona airport is approx. 150 km away and Perpignan airport is 101 km away. The nearest train station is 21 km away (Flaçà) and can be easily reached by bus (approx. 300 m on foot from the house).
