The house is just a few minutes from the beach, the Borbalán neighbourhood and the Valle Gran Rey Natural Park. Its restoration, which began in 2008, was the home of the poet Celia Askanova, after whom it is named. During its restoration, special attention was paid to respecting the original layout and materials, a clear example of traditional 19th century Canarian architecture. This is reflected in the wooden floors and ceilings and in the typical Canarian gastronomy.
