The situation Our holiday home is located near Dals Långed in the Dalsland region. Lake Laxsjön is almost on the doorstep and is suitable for both fishing and swimming. There is a swimming area just 60 metres from the holiday home. The holiday home The living space of the holiday home is approx. 65 square metres and is spread over one level. The entrance to the house is via the partially covered terrace. You will find yourself directly in the large, bright living and kitchen area. The living area has a cosy sofa and a TV with international and Swedish channels. You can already see the lake from the living area! The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and a 3-ring ceramic hob. Two bedrooms and the bathroom are each accessible via the large, open-plan living and kitchen area. The bathroom is very spacious and has a WC, a shower and a washing machine. The first bedroom is furnished with two single beds, the second bedroom with a double bed. You can access the terrace via the second bedroom. The terrace has a great view of the lake and is equipped with patio furniture and a barbecue. Two two-person kayaks are included in the hire price. We also have life jackets in various sizes for children and adults. The neighbourhood Lake Laxsjön is only about 60 metres away. There you will find a swimming area. The nearest public bathing area is approx. 1 kilometre away. Grocery shops and restaurants are approx. 1.5 kilometres away. There are numerous sights and excursion destinations in the surrounding area, here are a few examples: There is a trolley in Bengtfors where you can explore the surrounding area, approx. 17 kilometres away. Baldernäs is approx. 3 kilometres away. There is a hotel with an upmarket restaurant and a nature reserve. Sweden's largest lake, Lake Vänern, is about 30 kilometres to the east. A moose park is approx. 27 kilometres away in Ed. Håverud is a very interesting place where a stream flows at the bottom, above it runs the aqueduct in which ships sail, above it comes the railway and on top a car bridge. Approx. 17km Steneby/ Steneby School in Dals Långed offers art, design and craft education and is part of the University of Gothenburg. You can visit the art gallery and library. There is a train connection from Bengtsfors to Mellerud with a stop in Långbron/ Dals Långed during the summer months. The train stop is only a 5-minute walk from the holiday home. In Dals Långed there are several hiking trails through the woods and along the Dalsland Canal. The town has small shops, supermarkets, cafés and restaurants. The Dalsland Canal runs through the town with several locks. This canal is over 250 kilometres long, but only about 15 kilometres have been dug. From the terrace you have a good view of Lake Laxsjö/Dalsland Canal and one of the guest harbours. Other sports and leisure activities: For more activities, Dalslandsaktiviteter in Steneby is certainly interesting. There you can go horse-riding, rent a horse by the hour or day, or try even more adventurous activities, such as swinging on a giant swing or hanging from one of Europe's highest zip lines.
