Description
This beautiful holiday home with a typical Swedish red painted wooden façade is situated in an idyllic location on the outskirts of Fågelfors, right on the edge of the forest. The nearest town, Högsby, is just 14 kilometres away and can be reached quickly for all your daily needs.
The cosy cottage is very well equipped and offers you pure relaxation on 92 m² of living space. Three bedrooms offer space for six people and a small child. Two bedrooms are furnished with double beds (floorboards, one bedroom with built-in wardrobes), one bedroom (children's room) with a single bed (can be pulled out to make two beds and an extra cot). The fireplace in the living room provides the perfect cosy atmosphere for quiet and relaxing evenings. A new air heat pump keeps the house pleasantly cool on hot days and cosily warm on cooler days. In addition to satellite TV (German and international programmes), a small selection of books, games and DVDs await you. The living room and the bright, very well-equipped eat-in kitchen (with dishwasher) are fitted with solid wood floors. The kitchen also has an electric cooker with oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster and coffee machine. A table with six chairs is available. Bathroom with underfloor heating, toilet and shower. The additional guest toilet is practical for several guests. A washing machine and tumble dryer are available in the utility room. There is a cot and high chair for small children and babies. Dogs are welcome!

Garden furniture is available on the terrace for nice sunny days. Sun loungers are also available. Should the sun shine less, you can enjoy the conservatory/glazed veranda. The garden and terrace/veranda are south-facing and invite you to sunbathe, read, barbecue and relax. Let your soul dangle. There are two parking spaces on the property. The house is in a quiet location on the edge of the village, right on the edge of the forest. It is surrounded by marvellous nature. With a bit of luck, you may spot deer or squirrels in the garden. From the garden you can walk directly through the forest and reach a small stream after a few minutes. The woods give you plenty of opportunity to pick berries and mushrooms in summer and autumn.
You can reach the local food market on foot in five minutes. There you will find everything you need for your daily needs, also open on Sundays. There are several shopping facilities in Högsby, 13 kilometres away. Here you will find the nearest doctor or chemist, bank, supermarkets, tourist office, library, petrol stations and much more.
Fågelfors has three beautiful lakes: the fishing lake Klobosjön, 800 metres away, which is located directly behind the church in the village. The bathing lake Övresjö with non-swimmer area, sandy beach, changing room, barbecue area and toilet is less than five minutes away by car. The third lake offers the opportunity to go canoeing. The nearby River Emån, the largest river in southern Sweden with a length of 220 km, also offers excellent opportunities for canoeing (canoe hire). It is considered one of the best fishing waters in Europe. Anglers from all over the world come here to fish for salmon, sea trout, pike, perch and chub. With a tourist fishing licence, you can fish in 29 different waters within the municipality of Högsby.
