Relax in the midst of the mountains and enjoy total seclusion on the unique high plateau in the Bernese Oberland. The Sennhütte is 500 metres from the mountain station (flat). Hut feeling guaranteed. The furnishings are rustic, very simply furnished. You are not staying in a hotel. If you are looking for the "very simple life", you have come to the right place.

There is no shower in the old part of the Sennhütte Süd that you book. There is a toilet on both floors. There are shower facilities at the mountain station. The mountain hotel is 10 minutes away and offers a sauna for shared use.

Please note that you will not get the floor warm in a mountain hut (no floor heating), but a simple heating system with electric heaters in all rooms.

Food and luggage are transported by snowmobile (can be booked by telephone and for a fee at the mountain station). Restaurants and various activities can be found on the Engstligenalp AG homepage.

The Sennhütte is used for alpine farming in summer, which is why it can only be rented in autumn and winter.
