Erst 1956 erreichte man Albinen auf einer frisch gebauten Strasse. Dies führte zu einer Aufbruchstimmung im Dorf. Viele entschlossen sich, den engen Wohnverhältnissen im Dorfkern zu entfliehen und bauten sich ein Eigenheim mit Balkon und angrenzendem Garten. Das Haus Xaver wurde 1967 fertig gestellt. 1991 wurde der 2. Stock ausgebaut. 
Das zweistöckige Haus ist etwas abseits der Hauptstrasse über eine schmale Zufahrtsstrasse erreichbar. Man findet hier Ruhe umgeben von Wiesen und Gärten. In der Ferne lassen die Berge grüssen und in der Talebene liegt der Pfynwald zu Füssen. Das ganze Jahr über bietet die Natur die schönsten Bilder. Ist im Sommer die Hitze zu gross, findet man unter dem Nussbaum oder dem Kirschbaum wohltuenden Schatten.
Die Wohnung ist ideal für Familen.  Das grosse Elternschlafzimmer und die zwei kleinen Kinderzimmer sind zweckmässig eingerichtet.
Der zweite Stock wird bewohnt von den Vermietern.
