High above Lake Walen, dreamy days await you in Amden, Switzerland. In the holiday flat "Hinterberg" you will stay in a sunny and central location in the village, right next to the Mattstock chairlift, which takes you to the wonderful hiking area on Amden's local mountain of the same name. You will find all amenities in the immediate vicinity: Shopping facilities, bank and tourist info, bus stop, restaurants, a café with bakery, as well as the indoor swimming pool with sauna.It is also not far to the Mattstock chairlift and the skiing area of the same name. The mountain railway starts directly behind the house and offers a perfect starting point for hikes in summer and winter. For skiing, the slopes at Mattstock and Bärenfall are very popular. You can reach the family-friendly skiing area Arvenbüel in just five minutes by car, but there is also a free ski bus. Especially pleasant for families with small children: Majority of easy slopes and the renowned Swiss ski school are ideal to learn skiing or snowboarding. Winter hiking fans choose their favourites from the wide network of snowshoe and hiking trails. Arvenbüel delights with its scenic charm - this can be enjoyed not only on foot but also on two varied cross-country ski trails.In spring, summer and autumn you can enjoy the enchanting nature between Lake Walen and the mountain peaks on around 120 kilometres of hiking trails of all levels of difficulty around Amden. Water rats will love the emerald-blue nearby Walensee: Pure bathing fun is guaranteed at various bays and even sandy beaches. You can also cool off in the charming little mountain streams, such as the Beerenbach in Arvenbüel. Our tip: Take the Mattstock cable car up to the heights and walk to Hinter Höhi (or do the round hike Höhenweg Amden). The view over the high moor is simply magical.Parking space number 9 in the neighbouring garage is reserved for you. The nearest bus stop "Amden, Dorf" is approx. 300 metres away.

The bright and friendly 3.5-room holiday flat "Hinterberg" is located in sunny Amden, right next to the Mattstock chairlift - in the middle of the village and yet close to the hiking area. The cosy and beautifully coloured attic flat is located on the third floor and impresses with its light wooden ceilings and generous room height. The holiday flat has 88 square metres and offers space for max. 4 people. One bedroom is equipped with a double bed (180x200cm) and TV, the second bedroom has two single beds. The bathroom is equipped with WC, oval bathtub (without bubble function) and a large double lavabo. Hairdryer and make-up mirror are also available. The spacious, bright living and dining room with open kitchen invites you to cosy evenings with a round dining table, a large corner sofa. The kitchen, which is as good as new, will delight you: with fridge and freezer compartment, glass ceramic hobs, oven, steamer and microwave, it offers all the conveniences. Nespresso coffee machine, raclette and cheese fondue set as well as numerous other kitchen appliances complete the equipment. The two TVs with Google Chromecast and media player provide entertainment. The south-facing balcony offers a magnificent view of the Leistchamm and the Glarus Alps. Washing machine and tumble dryer are available in the house. A storage room for sports equipment can also be used. A garage space belongs to the holiday flat. Pets are not allowed. WLAN / Internet is available.
