Description

Have you ever dreamed of spending your holidays in a beautiful old Engadine house? In the Posta Veglia this dream comes true.
The house is located in the village centre of Sils-Baselgia. You can reach Lake Sils on foot in just a few minutes and enjoy views of the enchanting Upper Engadin lake landscape. In summer and autumn there are countless mountain and hiking trails, in winter dusty descents in powder snow. The ski slopes are easily accessible by local bus and the cross-country ski trail - part of the famous Engadin ski marathon - is right on the doorstep. Next to the house, a small garden with rowan trees invites you to end the day in the sun.

The house (built in 1792) is a listed building; we have only modernised it carefully and with respect for the old structure. The pine-panelled living room is heated from the kitchen by an old Engadine stove. A small wooden staircase leads to the bedrooms above.
The historic kitchen with its stone floor and granite sink has been fitted with modern appliances, but has not been structurally altered. The modern bathrooms offer the desired comfort even when fully occupied.

The area surrounding Sils-Baselgia is a paradise for activity enthusiasts and culture lovers alike. Whether you want to explore the mountains on the numerous hiking and mountain bike trails, enjoy fresh powder snow on the ski slopes or take advantage of cultural offers such as museum visits and gallery tours - the Upper Engadine offers a varied programme for every taste. Direct access to the famous Engadin ski marathon trails and the proximity to various ski areas and cross-country ski trails on the frozen lakes ensure a unique winter sports experience.
