Description

Vacation in architectural monument combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a revitalised future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the foundation Vacation in architectural monument, which was set up by the Swiss Heritage Society in 2005.

Public transport: Take bus 171 in the direction of Bellinzona, Stazione to Splügen. The bus stop is around 300 metres from the Susta.

Car park: Public car park at the Splügen Dorf bus stop

Number of persons 2: A cot and high chair are available on request (up to 2 years). The house can accommodate two guests. The floors are made of wood and stone, which is why we recommend good slippers.

The ‘Susta’ is a listed building that has been renovated with great respect for the existing fabric. The tenant is aware of this and treats the property with care. Although the technical equipment is up to date, certain functional details do not meet current standards and are a potential source of danger. The tenant is aware of these circumstances.
