Description

Attention hiking enthusiasts and nature lovers: Charming holiday flat for rent in the picturesque Appenzellerland! The cosy flat is located in a stately apartment building dating back to 1650, some of the original wooden walls can still be found on site.

The village centre of Urnäsch and the railway station are just a few minutes' walk away. Life here is characterised by living traditions, such as the New Year's Eve celebrations, yodelling and Alpine descents.

The Appenzellerbahn railway takes you from Urnäsch to the picturesque Appenzell or the cantonal capital of Herisau, for example; towns such as St. Gallen or the nearby Säntis massif with the Schwägalp are easy to explore by car.

But you can also relax perfectly in and around the house itself. The surrounding garden invites you to linger and relax. The residents of the house have spent many a fun-filled hour in the spacious garden shed.

The flat also has a free car park. A washing machine and tumble dryer are also available to all tenants in the cellar. Towels, bed linen and kitchen towels are also provided. A small storage room in front of the flat also offers additional storage space.

Reservations must be made at least 72 hours before arrival. Short-term bookings by arrangement only. Thank you for your understanding.

Village description: Urnäsch is the family-friendly residential, working and holiday village in Appenzellerland at the foot of the Säntis massif and is the largest municipality in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden in terms of area. Although the village is located away from urban centres, it is not at the end of the world. Carefully nestled in the gentle Appenzell hills, Urnäsch opens up not only towards Schwägalp and Säntis, but in all directions and thus to a comprehensive range of residential and leisure activities. Herisau and St. Gallen to the north, the Säntis and Toggenburg to the south, Gonten (with its golf course) and the Innerrhoden capital of Appenzell to the east, and if you lace up your hiking boots and head west, Urnäsch is soon at your feet.the landscape is the heart and soul of Urnäsch. Life here is characterised by living traditions such as the New Year's Eve hermitage, yodelling and Alpine descents. Around 2,300 inhabitants live on 48 km2 of unspoilt countryside.
