Wildhaus is situated in Toggenburg, at an altitude of 1,100 metres above sea level. The Gamserrugg - Chäserrugg (2,262m above sea level) - Sellamatt ski area with its total of 20 ski lifts and cable cars comprises a total of 60 kilometres of pistes. In addition to skiing, Toggenburg also offers winter hikers unlimited pleasure on 35 km of prepared winter hiking trails and 17 snowshoe routes. Cross-country skiers have a total of 82 kilometres of groomed trails at their disposal. Snowland, the hot-spot area on the Freienalp for freeskiers and snowboarders, has become the "El Dorado" of this fun sport.
