Life as It Was 300 Years Ago

Gain an authentic insight into everyday life between the 17th and 19th centuries. During peak season, visitors can enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides or hop on a historic steam train that winds through the scenic Danish heath landscape.

Historic Farm Animals

The museum is home to heritage breeds of cows, horses, pigs, and goats that roam the 20-hectare site, adding to the lively and immersive village atmosphere.

Fun, Games, and Picnics for Families

Children and families can look forward to year-round activities. The Skyttegaarden restaurant serves meals and refreshments, but you're also welcome to bring a picnic.

Covered tables and benches near the large playground invite you to relax while kids play shopkeeper, walk on stilts, or try riding a penny-farthing bicycle.

Free admission for children and young people under 18. Dogs on a leash are welcome and also enter free of charge.

Distance to the North Sea: approx. 50 km – about 1 hour by car.

Distance to the Limfjord: approx. 25 km – about 30 minutes by car.
