Mountain View Stay, Malmedy

House:
Quietly located holiday home in a holiday park near the town of Malmedy in the province of Liege with a terrace and barbecue. The view from the mountains will enrapture you to spend some time here. 26 km from Monschau across the border in Germany, whereas Spa is at the same distance holding the race circuit and well-famed Thermes de Spa to heal you, nourish you, and make you feel better. Liege awaits you about 65 km away. High-Fens Nature Park is another place that makes for a great place for nature and adventure lovers. Skiing, hiking, cycling, kayaking, parachute jump, fishing, wellness, mini-golf, bowling can also be done nearby. There is free wifi which will help you connect to the world, and an open kitchen to help you cook meals, snacks, make coffee and bond. Parking is available so you can rent a car, or get your own car. Liege Airport is 72 km away. Bed linen and bath towels are not provided. Guests are required to bring their own.

Tips from owner:
It is a very nice apartment in a wooded area with many recreational opportunities. You can go skiing, hiking and cycling, or you can go kayaking, parachute jumping, fishing, mini golf or bowling. There are also many wellness options in the area. The location is in a tourist area with plenty of leisure options.

Remarks:
It is strictly forbidden to organise any student party, bachelor party or drinking party in this house

    Het uitzicht volgens de foto's zou een meertje moeten zijn. Hoe we ook vanuit het huisje keken of vanuit elders op het park, dit hebben wij niet kunnen zien. De vlag van Nederland, op het welkomstbord staat op z'n kop. In het huisje ook de nodige dode spinnen, spinnenrag en schimmel naast de koelkast/vriezer. Verder een loszittende keukenkraan en diverse sluitingen die kapot zijn, een putlucht op de benedenverdieping (hele dag door) en doorgelegen vieze matrassen. Wel bizar dat het welkomstbord melding maakt van een restaurant wat wij niet hebben kunnen ontdekken.

    Horrible horrible experience from start to finish. Was sent fradulent emails from the company, advised from my booking agent not to click on any email links from this company. Was constantly asked for more money for a cleaning fee despite their being no mention of it on my initial booking. No check in information provided. Spent hours on the phone just trying to get a code to get in. No bed linen and towels provided. Reception never open during the times I was there. Disgraceful rude customer service. Will be doing everything I can to avoid anything to do with this company in the future.

    The house and facilities were generally fine but check-in was a bit disappointing. We had some questions in connection with our check-in and the listed caretaker was impossible to contact. Helpline proved a bit of a challenge but eventually helped us get into the house. Overall the stay delivered what we expected.

    In de basis een hele fijne plek om te verblijven, echter kampt het met nogal wat vocht en lekkage en is de eigenaar niet te bereiken. Toen we aankwamen ging de slagboom niet open waardoor we een paar keer heen en weer moesten lopen met al onze spullen. Als je 6 keer 500 meter moet lopen heuvel op heuvel af dan is dat niet echt een warm onthaal. Eigenaar nam niet op en reageerde ook niet op bericht, uiteindelijk hebben andere gasten ons kunnen helpen zodat we de rest van ons verblijf voor het huisje konden parkeren. Echter is er een behoorlijke lekkage waardoor het binnen letterlijk regende, elk uur moesten we een emmer legen, eigenaar nam wederom niet op, belde niet terug. Na een paar keer maar opgegeven. Gelukkig was het op een nacht en een avond na droog. Als de problemen opgelost zijn komen we zeker terug maar dan moet er wel wat verbeteren, op zijn minst moet de eigenaar reageren.

    Fijn huisje met veel comfort. We missen alleen een paar gordijnen in de woonkamer voor de zon. Mooie omgeving en genoeg leuke uitstapjes in de omgeving. We komen zeker nog een keer terug!

    Prima huisje, alleen een lekkage in de woonkamer dat gewoon niet is opgelost. Gewoon geen contact te krijgen met de huiseigenaar, zelfs niet door Belvilla. Verder ruikt het in de slaapkamer beneden ook muf wat lijkt op een vochtprobleem daar ook. Voor de rest ziet het huisje er heel netjes uit, is mooi ruim. Dus als Belvilla dit met de huisbaas weet op te lossen, zou het een aanrader zijn.

    Belvilla nooit meer! Het huisje zelf, in Malmedy, was geweldig. De super attente eigenaar die ons uiteindelijk in goed vertrouwen hielp en onze vakantie tot een succes maakte, daar waar Belvilla het volstrekt liet afweten. Huisje is een dikke aanrader maar boekt u alstublieft via een andere organisatie om uzelf ellende te besparen.
