Terms of Use for Feline Holidays from Feline Holidays A/S (Ltd.)
Tenant = The customer renting a holiday home.
Business Partner = The rental agency with which you enter into the rental agreement.
Owner of the Holiday Home = Landlord.
The rental agreement is concluded with our Business Partner as your contractual party. The role of Feline Holidays A/S (Ltd.) is solely to facilitate the rental and the conclusion of the contract between you and our Business Partner, and therefore, prior to making your booking, you must accept the Business Partner’s rental terms and conditions. The exact point in time at which the rental agreement is considered finally concluded is governed by the Business Partner’s rental terms and conditions. As a general rule, the rental agreement only becomes final when you receive a confirmation and rental certificate from our Business Partner by email, together with further practical information regarding the rental property.
The terms and conditions of our Business Partner, as well as the rental documents you receive from our Business Partner, constitute the contractual basis concerning the actual rental of the holiday home. Feline Holidays A/S (Ltd.) is therefore not responsible for any changes to your agreement with the Business Partner, including changes relating to the rental of the holiday home. Such changes are governed by the Business Partner’s terms and conditions.
Feline Holidays A/S (Ltd.) solely facilitates the rental through our platform, and responsibility for the holiday home rests with the Owner of the Holiday Home and/or the Business Partner, depending on what is stipulated in the Business Partner’s terms and conditions. The practical administration of the rental is handled by the Business Partner.
Our service, which consists of bringing together holiday homes from a large number of rental agencies on one platform and facilitating the conclusion of agreements for the rental of such holiday homes, is always provided subject to the following terms and conditions.
§ 1. Payment
Payment for the stay is made directly to the Business Partner.
§ 2. Price Guarantee
If the booked holiday home can be booked for the same period and under the same conditions, but at a lower price in the same currency, for example through an internet portal (documentation must be provided), the Tenant will receive a refund of the price difference from Feline Holidays A/S (Ltd.).
§ 3. Practical Questions and Complaints
Since Feline Holidays A/S (Ltd.) only facilitates the holiday home rental on behalf of the Business Partner, Feline Holidays A/S (Ltd.) cannot be held liable for defects or shortcomings concerning the holiday home or the property. This also applies in cases of insect infestations, as well as in cases of theft, damage or similar incidents affecting the holiday home, the property, or the Tenant’s belongings.
Likewise, Feline Holidays A/S (Ltd.) is not responsible for circumstances that do not relate to the holiday home itself, nor is Feline Holidays A/S (Ltd.) liable for any deterioration of the holiday experience caused by such circumstances, including, but not limited to, noise disturbances, road and/or construction work near the holiday home, power outages, closure of shops, facilities, etc., changed opening hours, changed bathing opportunities including bathing prohibitions, changed fishing rights, and climatic conditions, such as, but not limited to, flooding, forest fires, and water shortages.
If practical questions arise during the rental period, including complaints requiring rectification during the rental period, these must be directed to the Business Partner.
This also applies in cases of dissatisfaction with the cleaning, where the Business Partner’s local office must be informed immediately after arrival (outside office hours via the emergency telephone number). Otherwise, the Tenant may be held liable for any defects or shortcomings, depending on the Business Partner’s terms and conditions. We recommend taking photographic documentation.
Should problems unexpectedly arise that cannot be resolved amicably through dialogue with the Business Partner, you are welcome to contact Feline Holidays A/S (Ltd.). We will then attempt to guide you in the best possible way.
However, if you believe that we have provided incorrect information about the holiday home on our platform, please contact both us and our Business Partner.
§ 4. Danish Holiday Home Rental Association
Feline Holidays A/S (Ltd.) is a member of the Danish Holiday Home Rental Association and complies with the ethical rules applicable to the association’s members.
Should problems arise in connection with the rental of the holiday home, which is governed by your agreement with our Business Partner, and such problems are not resolved to the Tenant’s satisfaction, the Tenant may have the opportunity to submit the dispute with the Business Partner to the Appeals Board of the Danish Holiday Home Rental Association.
Further information about the Appeals Board can be found at https://www.feriehusklage.dk.
§ 5. Personal Data
We process all personal data in accordance with the Danish Personal Data Act and EU regulations (GDPR).
You can find more information about our Privacy Policy at https://www.feline-holidays.com/privacypolicy
§ 6. Youth Groups / Minimum Age
You must be at least 18 years old to book a holiday home through our platform.
Unfortunately, we do not facilitate rentals to youth groups, i.e. persons under 25 years of age.
If you nevertheless make a booking without informing us that the booking concerns a youth group, please note that the Business Partner, depending on its rental terms and conditions, may have the right to:
- reject the booking without refunding the rent paid;
- withhold the keys without refunding the rent paid;
- require payment of a security deposit.
We also draw your attention to the fact that parents of minors and/or persons under 25 years of age cannot make a booking in their own name unless they themselves are present throughout the entire stay.
One couple under the age of 25 is not considered a group and is therefore not covered by the above rule.
§ 7. Misprints
Feline Holidays A/S (Ltd.) reserves the right for any image, price, data or printing errors.
Complaints Procedure
If you are dissatisfied with your rental of the holiday home, you must contact the Business Partner as mentioned above under § 3.
If no solution can be found between you and the Business Partner, you may file a complaint with the Holiday Home Rental Appeals Board. In that case, you must prepare a written complaint using the form provided by the Appeals Board.
You can find a description of the procedure and a link to the form on this page.
