Description

This carefully restored old country house with a little guest house lies at the edge of a tiny village in Istria, in the midst of vineyards and blossoming flowers. The house has thick stone walls, some of which date back to Byzantine times, and many nooks and crannies. It has two open fireplaces and tiles hand-painted by artists in the bathroom and kitchen. Each bedroom features a different colour. You can get away from it all and really relax here, far away from tourist masses. The house can accommodate eight people comfortably. The main house is an elaborately and luxuriously renovated stone house on two floors. It has three double bedrooms, a two-bed room, three bathrooms (two of which with a separate shower), a well-equipped kitchen (stove, oven, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, electric kitchen appliances) and a lounge with an open fireplace, TV with satellite reception, a DVD player, radio CD player. Both houses have central heating. The bed measurements are: pink bedroom double bed 180 x 200cm, yellow bedroom double bed 180 x 200cm, blue bedroom double bed 160 x 200cm, room with floral textiles with two single beds 135 x 200cm. Wireless Internet access will be available from 2015. It is nestled into a large 2300m² garden with mature trees and has a large swimming pool (12 x 5m) with Roman, semicircular stairs and a terrace made of natural stone. The seaside and the provincial town of Porec are fifteen kilometres away. The unusually large garden around the two houses looks like a lush green oasis from another world. A 400-year-old, giant Ladonia tree grows proudly out of the ground there and provides both houses the necessary shade from the midday heat in summer. Under the imposing tree there is a rustic, natural stone table for romantic Mediterranean meals and other moments together in the garden. The pool water meets the latest ecological standards and is enriched with light sea salt. It has underwater lighting for romantic evenings in and around the pool. You can really recharge your batteries here and leave the rest of the world and its demands far behind. Outside there are sun loungers, garden furniture, three parasols by the pool, table tennis, grill and parking space for four cars (two right by the house, two on the rear garden drive). Porec is about 15km away, where there are supermarkets, an ATM, post office, petrol stations, shops, restaurants, cafés. Motovun is about 10km away, Rovinj 30km, Trieste 60km and Pula 68km. You can go on cycle tours, mountain biking, hiking, diving and other water sports, riding, visit the film festival in Motovun in July, look for truffles in Livade, go on boat trips along the Croatian Adriatic coast or further afield to the lagoon city of Venice.
