Holiday home - 6 persons - Klemmen - Bratten - 9981 - Jerup

The house looks like in the pictures, the general features are well reflected in the images. The property is large, quiet and serene and full of birds. Squirrels and deer are regular visitors. I appears to be still used by the owner as there are supplies and tools for private use. This generally is a good thing as cutlery and other things are not counted to exactly match a 6 person stay and cabinets are not empty. It's a living house with memories and not only a business. There are two main points of critique. The cleanliness of the kitchen (oven, bowls, plates...) and some (outdoor) furniture is lacking but a quick hand wash and it's done. The second point is less easy to fix. The main bedroom is only equipped with a 140cm by 190cm bed with two separate 70cm mattresses. Hardly a comfortable bed for two adults by modern standards. My wife is 160cm and I am 184cm, both not overweight. Bed size was not mentioned on the booking page.The bunk beds are even shorter, I could not lay in those fully stretched, but they are designed for kids anyway. I would say each one is maybe around 70x180cm. Only the double bed in the Annex room across the backyard is a proper bed by modern European standards. It features two 90x190 mattresses in a 180x200 bed. Mattress and blanket quality is good in all bedrooms though.We used electricity sparsely (no heating in the summer) and still accumulated 100Kw/h in our two week stay. Two fridges and the hot water tank heater appear to take their toll. Almost all light fixtures are still fitted with incandescent bulbs which is simply unacceptable nowadays. We spend more than 1,6k for two weeks and had better options in our many Denmark holidays in the past. Some changes would make this a real gem though.
