In addition to the famous Norman apples and cider, you can look forward to buying a wide variety of vegetables and, of course, fresh fish and preparing delicious dishes in your well-equipped kitchen. On short excursions you can experience the lively harbours of Barfleur or Granville or go to the popular seaside resort of Saint Vaast la Hougue. From here you can set off to visit the small island of Tatihou. History buffs will definitely want to visit the landing beaches and the museums dedicated to the events of the war. For young and old, the CitÉ de la Mer in Cherbourg, which offers insights into the exciting underwater world, is an attractive destination. A visit to the beautiful flower garden of Martinvast, which extends over 100 hectares of woods, meadows, ponds and waterfalls, and of course a visit to the world-famous Mont St Michel, is also highly recommended.
