Tips from owner:
1. You will find a small beach on the river near the Domaine when you walk on the veloroute (the old railway bed) towards Grolejac, immediately turn right over the bridge. Canoes are also rented at this location.
2. At the Halte Nautique in Carsac-Aillac you will find a nice pebble beach. You can reach the beach by car/bicycle, but also on foot. When you leave the Domaine, turn left, take the hiking trail that runs past La Villa Romaine, and over time you will reach the Halte Nautique. It is a fifteen minute walk. Canoes are also rented out here.
3. In the summer, bicycles are rented close to the Domaine (approximately 500 m in the direction of Carsac). The rental company can be found on the veloroute near the playground, the jeu-boules court, the skate rink and the tennis table.
4. For tasty food and not expensive there is La Grange in Carsac.
5. A nice pizzeria in Sarlat is Chez Antoine on the Boulevard Eugène le Roy.
6. There is a bakery, butcher and small supermarket in both Carsac and Grolejac.
7. Trout fishing is possible at Moulin Papier Peche a la truite. Follow the D704 towards Sarlat; turn right at the concrete factory. Follow the Truites signs and you can catch trout per piece or per duration in a picturesque spot. The trout are cleaned. Delicious for the barbecue.
