Located in the heart of the 'Land of the Cathars'. Surrounded by the mountains of the Corbières. Close to the famous Cathar castles of Montsegur, Peyrepertuse and Queribus and close to the Spanish border. The villa is on the outskirts of the city of Limoux where great wines come from and also the Blanquette de Limoux. Limoux is a nice cosy town to visit. For example, every year a Carnival festival is organised in the city. There are also numerous interesting cultural sights, such as the Pont-Neuf de Limoux. This ancient bridge dates back to the 18th century AD. Remnants of various fortifications from the 14th century are also visible in several places in the city. The Notre-Dame de Marceille basilica is also definitely worth a visit. Limoux is a good base for a wonderful holiday in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. From the garden, you have views of several mountain ranges, including the sacred mountain Pic de Bugarach.
