The popular bay of Kernic can be reached quickly in 5 minutes by car, at high tide people swim here, at low tide mudflat walks and sand yachting are popular, here the sea retreats for kilometers. Activities nearby: To the west, the fishing village of Meneham, the Menhir Men Marz in Brignogan and the vast dunes of Keremma. Some lighthouses can be visited in the area. Numerous harbor festivals take place in summer. The incomparable 13 km long coastline with its wide sandy beaches and small, sheltered bays has made Plouescat a holiday paradise. The 16th-century market hall indicates that the village is the center of a rich vegetable-growing region. Artichokes and many other types of vegetables are often offered in organic quality. Every Saturday is market day. The well-known seaside resort offers a wide range of leisure activities, water sports, traditional restaurants and a casino.
