Do you dream of spending your holiday on a French island? L'Île-de-Ré, accessible by bridge, is the place for you. This holiday home located nearby Sainte-Marie-de-Ré is only 300 meters from the beach and the sea. The accommodation is on one level and the windows and green shutters are in the characteristic style of the region. If you have children, you can let them play in the play garden, specially designed for them and accessible by a gate from your terrace. The rental is semi-detached, but thanks to the fence, it offers complete privacy. The island is a true paradise for cyclists. They can traverse the entire length and breadth of it along bike paths. The beach has a beach with lifeguards just 2 km away by bike. The fortified town of Saint-Martin-de-Ré (8 km) boasts a citadel and a little harbour with fantastic food and restaurants. The oysters are a must! The historic harbour town of La Rochelle (13 km) is easily accessible by car. Take a tour of the Old Harbour and visit the Tower of Saint Nicolas dating from the 14th century. There you'll also find the largest aquarium in Europe. Les Baleines (24 km) and its lighthouse are located at the westernmost point of the island. From there you'll have a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean. The old naval city of Rochefort (about 50 km) is also worth visiting. There you can admire the ship, the Hermione, a famous reproduction of General Lafayette's frigate. Again by car, you can also visit the Marais Poitevin Regional Natural Park (33 km).
