The Solaire boathouse is located in Kahnsdorf/Neukieritzsch in the Leipzig New Lake District, directly on Lake Hainer. Lake Hainer is one of the few bodies of water where construction directly on the shore is permitted. The accommodation is therefore partially built over the water. The boathouse is ideal for water sports and tourism, as it features a terrace with an adjacent boat dock. Guests can arrive with their own boats, which can be launched via a public slipway and then moored at the boathouse's dock. The name "Solaire" reflects the plan to provide a solar-powered boat for guests' use in the future.
