Evenings are perfect for a cozy barbecue – and you should definitely try the delicious fresh fish from the Schaalsee fishery. Of course, you can also try your hand at fishing yourself. You're just 1,300 meters from Lake Schaalsee, where you'll find a boat rental and a lovely beach for swimming and bathing. Zarrentin is considered the gateway to the Schaalsee Biosphere Reserve. In the town, you'll find various shops, restaurants, a lakeside promenade, and a beach. Included highlights: Energy costs based on consumption, bed linens, towels, final cleaning Wi-Fi Nearby activities: Besides swimming and fishing, there are many other leisure activities available. The Schaalsee Biosphere Reserve is a UNESCO-recognized destination, and nature lovers will find many rare animals and plants here, best discovered on hikes and bike tours. The Schaalsee Biosphere Reserve lies directly on the former inner-German border.
