They were married and the prince followed her into the lake. Since that time the lake has been called Lake Trasimeno. On the shores of the lake don't miss the towns of Magione, Tuoro sul Trasimeno, Castiglione del Lago, and the hill town of Città della Pieve, hometown of Pietro Vanucci, the famous painter known as "il Perugino".
