The area has a bustling wildlife of seabirds and the occasional sea eagle, otters and porpoises. If you're lucky, you might even see a minke whale. Bathing beach at Sande 15 min drive away. Possibility of great mountain tours, i.a. to Midtbøfjellet on Ånneland, Vestre- and Tjørefjellet (from 194 -240 m.a.s.l.). Close by is Skjerjehamn with the Olav statue, an old trading post that was restored in 2007. Here you can have a good dinner and be served home-brewed beer, and every year at the end of July a fringe festival is organized with famous artists from near and far. About. 8.2 km to the town of Byrknes with a grocery store and service offer. Bergen is 1.5 hours away with its attractions, shops, and restaurants.
