Pleasant holiday home in a nice location by the Gisundet north of Finnsnes. Great view towards the island of Senja and the berth in the strait where many boats pass. There are plenty of fishing opportunities in the strait and boats can be hired. Wonderful hiking terrain in the area both along the sea and in the mountains.

The house is pleasantly furnished. In the living room there is a TV with Norwegian channels and a wood stove that provides good warmth on cold autumn and winter days.

From the house and the large terrace you can enjoy the great view and the beautiful sunset. Here you can grill the most delicious meals. In spring and summer, the midnight sun is a great spectacle. In autumn and winter, on clear days and nights, you can experience the northern lights in all shades of color in the sky. A salmon farm is located out in the strait. The area has great hiking terrain for the whole family along the sea, where there are several idyllic sandy beaches. 30 m to the sea with plenty of fishing opportunities and where a 15-foot boat with a 10 hp engine can be rented. Several fish-rich waters in the area and Målselva, which is a good salmon river.

Great starting point for day trips by car to Senja where a car ferry can be taken from Gryllefjord to Andenes where whale watching by boat is arranged. A great experience is seeing the big whales up close. A day trip by car to the Arctic city of Tromsø is recommended. The city is known as the Paris of the Nordics because of its many nightclubs. At the city's museums, you can study the rich history of Arctic sea fishing and several polar expeditions. The Polarzoo animal park is also worth seeing where wolves, bears, reindeer etc. can be experienced up close. 29 km to the colonial shop at Finnsnes.

The house is close to a road with little traffic.

The boat and motor is available 1.5.-1.10 and needs to be booked in advance.
