Torsmogården’s cottage is located in the village of Torsmo, only about ten minutes by car from Skattungbyn just outside Orsa. Here you stay in a smaller, spacious and cosy cottage for up to four guests, ideal for those seeking a relaxing stay close to nature and water in a calm and private setting. The cottage is located on the same property as Torsmogården’s main facilities, but has its own secluded area, giving guests privacy and a peaceful atmosphere throughout their stay.

The cottage features a separate bedroom with a double bed, as well as a sofa bed in the living room that accommodates two additional guests. Bed linen and towels are always included in the rental, making your stay easy and comfortable from the moment you arrive. The living room also offers space for relaxation and social time after a day outdoors. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering and meal preparation, including a fridge with a small freezer compartment and an oven combined with microwave functionality. The bathroom is fresh and functional, featuring a shower, toilet, and a small washbasin.

Outside, you are close to both nature and water, and within walking distance you will find a swimming and barbecue area by Skattungen, a shallow and child-friendly beach perfect for peaceful summer days. Lake Skattungen also offers excellent opportunities for canoeing, an activity suitable for both beginners and experienced paddlers.

Canoes are available for rent directly on site at Torsmogården and accommodate two to four people. With a canoe trolley, it is easy to transport the canoes to the shore in just a few minutes, and equipment such as life jackets in all sizes and paddles for both children and adults is always included. Paddling provides a calm and nature-filled way to experience the surroundings, where you can glide across the water, stop for a swim or picnic, and simply enjoy the silence.

The area around Skattungen and Skattungbyn offers a rich natural experience with deep forests, calm waters, and abundant wildlife. Nearby you will find Orsa Grönklitt, offering skiing, hiking, and mountain biking depending on the season, as well as Orsa Predator Park where you can experience Nordic wildlife up close. Not far away is also Mora with its rich cultural life, shopping, and events, along with the Siljan region featuring classic Dalarna landscapes, viewpoints, and excursion destinations.
