Description
Holiday Home in Ross on Wye near Goodrich Castle
House:
Tucked on the forest’s edge in the heart of the Wye Valley, this restored Victorian retreat unfolds like a storybook among whispering woods and rippling river views. From a private lane, you arrive at a home where original charm blends seamlessly with thoughtful modern comforts- open fires, a welcoming games room, and a bubbling hot tub nestled beneath the stars. The expansive dining table invites laughter and meals together, and with space for up to 22 guests, it’s a place where multigenerational families and groups of friends can slow down and reconnect. Here, nature doesn’t just surround you, it becomes part of your stay. Wake to the gentle rush of the River Wye, wander through bluebell-lit woods, or follow grassy paths down to hidden riverbanks and secret beaches. A hand-pulled ferry, rugged viewpoints, and canoe adventures on the Wye are all within easy reach. Whether paddling through rapids, spotting falcons from Symonds Yat Rock, or sampling local ales at rustic pubs nearby, the possibilities are as varied as your group. Note: Bookings are for guests aged 25+ only. The price includes utilities, linen, and final cleaning. Maximum 22 guests plus 2 infants. Up to 3 pets allowed (£50 each, not on furniture). Children welcome. No stag groups; single-sex groups only by prior approval. Check-in 4 pm, check-out 10 am. £500 bond covers damage, cleaning, or rule breaches.
