Just 15 min. drive from the popular holiday island of Rømø is the Skärbæk Centre, which with its many activities will keep the whole family busy.

Guests staying in the holiday homes have free access to the water park, fitness centre (15+) and playground during opening hours. You can also book a badminton court in one of the activity centres or use the outdoor playgrounds and green areas - all free of charge.

The holiday centre also has 8 bowling alleys, a tennis court, paddle tennis, multi-purpose court, fire pit, coin laundry, a café and Restaurant Staffeli, which serves exciting menus with fresh, local ingredients.

All 100 holiday homes are non-smoking and 6 of them are specially designed for the disabled. In general, the holiday centre is easily accessible for guests with various types of disabilities.

All houses contain:

Shower and toilet - kitchen with 4 hotplates and convection oven - fridge/freezer - dishwasher - microwave - radio with CD - colour TV - covered terrace.

The houses are 43 m² and have 2 bedrooms. 1 with double bed and 1 with 2 single beds. There is a loft with 3 mattresses (NB: very low ceiling height).

- Starter kit containing 2 dishcloths, 3 dishcloths, dish brush, scrubbing sponge, washing-up liquid, 2 rubbish bags and 1 pack of matches DKK 30,- per set. (*Price 2025)

Pets are allowed in some of the houses. Max. Two pets per house and advance booking is required. If you would like an allergy-friendly house, please note this when booking. The houses are located in quiet surroundings near the holiday centre and close to the centre of Skærbæk, with an active commercial life and several specialist shops. Free internet and TV with over 51 channels, including several international channels.

Modern swimming pool with 53 metres water slide, 1 and 3 m diving boards, 25 m pool 28º, hot water pool and children's pool 33º, water toys, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Saunas are available during the winter months on selected days (extra charge).

The holiday centre activities are available from 10:00 on the day of arrival until 17:00 on the day of departure.

There are plenty of activities for children and adults during all holiday periods. In summer, for example, there's a barbecue on the terrace with live music.

In early summer 2021, a new landmark for the marsh in Southern Jutland will see the light of day - Marsk Tower, a 25-metre high observation tower designed by world-renowned architects from Bjarke Ingels Group. Marsk Tower is located just 1.5 km from the Skärbæk Centre. There are also several exciting galleries in the city that are definitely worth a visit.

For adrenaline junkies, Skærbæk offers a go-kart track, and on Rømø from April-October it is possible to cruise along the beach in a beach sailing boat.

Located in the middle of the Wadden Sea National Park, the Skærbæk Centre is also worth a visit in the off-season. The ever-changing nature is beautiful and fascinating all year round, and in both spring and autumn many visitors flock to the area to experience the spectacular natural phenomena Black Sun, Grey Sun, White Sun and more.

If you're looking for some shopping, the border and the old market towns of Ribe and Tønder are not far away. Charming Møgeltønder with Schackenborg Castle or the beautifully restored Wadden Sea Centre are just a short drive away.
