Nature is our greatest gift

Aalborg Zoo is at the forefront when it comes to the conservation of endangered species and sustainability. The zoo works every day to protect endangered species through breeding programs and nature conservation, and we are active in international projects and collaborate with organizations worldwide to make a difference.

The baby animals aren’t just adorable – they play a vital role in the conservation of endangered species. Watch as Asiatic lion cubs, tapirs, and pygmy hippos frolic and grow throughout the year.

There’s always something new to explore. Visit the fascinating kangaroos or explore the Madagascar area with cute lemurs, interactive experiences and exciting climbing opportunities.

In autumn, the zoo transforms into a spooky Halloween world, while at Christmas, thousands of twinkling lights create a magical winter wonderland.
