Family Adventures in Ibiza

The Spanish island of Ibiza is the perfect place to take the whole family. Ibiza is situated in the Mediterranean Sea and is one of the Balearic Islands. It's lovely weather and family-friendly activities will have you swooning and begging to stay.

Ibiza can be a wonderfully peaceful place to spend quality time with your family. Here are just a few of the relaxing and enjoyable activities you can do while staying at your holiday home in Ibiza.

Ibiza offers plenty of regular and aquatic yoga classes that can get your family fit and your kids beach-ready. Even babies can practice right alongside you for a healthy activity that allows you to relax and learn something new.

Ibiza is famous for their colorful hippy markets. If you are looking for a laid-back activity and a place to grab a bite to eat, the hippy markets provide a wonderful opportunity to mix with the locals, do some crafts, and buy souvenirs. Also, the food at these markets is absolutely delightful and is often accompanied with live entertainment.

At the Cap Blanc Aquarium you can get up close and personal with the sea life of the Mediterranean, look no further than the "Lobster Cave." Located in a natural cave, this aquarium is used as a place for rescued turtles to live before being let back out into the ocean. Your children will love seeing all of the diverse and colorful sea animals. There's even a restaurant on the waterfront where you can enjoy a meal afterward.

You can't go to Ibiza without visiting the beach at least once! Whether you take your family there to splash in the sea and have a picnic or to play sports, your kids are sure to have a blast. Two great beaches in Ibiza are Cala Llonga and Cala Llenya. The latter is better for picnics and has more shade while Cala Llonga is perfect for sports and even has a designated area for kids to play.

To include a bit of educational fun on your family trip to Ibiza, you must visit the Eivissa Castle, also known as the Ibiza Castle. Once you get high enough up in the castle, you will have a spectacular view of the Old Town. If you decide to see the castle, be prepared to do a lot of walking. However, you will be rewarded with a fantastic view when you finally get there.
