A short jaunt by car or taxi will take families to the park's stunning attractions, famous the world over, including Duplo Land, a mini-park designed to entertain small children between the ages of 2-6 with rides and exhibits, and the Polar X-Plorer, a family-friendly roller coaster that is a visitor favorite. The enormous park has a wide variety of different areas, so be sure to plan at least a day (if not more) when scheduling a visit. 

The nearby Esbjerg Fisheries and Maritime Museum also offers a chance for families to learn about local marine life and the local coastal environment in stunningly modern facilities featuring intriguing exhibits, displays, and aquariums that focus on the natural history of the Wadden Sea. A great introduction to the local ecosystem, you'll learn about how the region grew into a maritime economy with a bit of daring and luck. 

Close by is also the Sandskulpturfestival in Soendervig, where family members of all ages can enjoy astonishingly detailed sand sculptures towering along the causeway. The monumental sculptures are by turns beautiful and incredibly crafted, human-made wonders that are a must-see for any visitors to West Jutland. A visit to the Sandskulpturfestival is truly a place to make memories for a lifetime. 

Of course, no visit to West Jutland is complete without time spent in nature. Home to Denmark's largest herd of red deer, the Klosterheden Woods offers visitors the chance to experience a Danish rural idyll with gorgeous forest and waterway paths. Be sure to look for the area's large beaver population, which builds dams out of the local trees. 

If you go on holiday in the beautiful area of Vedersø/Husby Klit and you would like to enjoy this emposing nature from horseback, this is the opportunity. Tourriding along the beach, in wood- and protected areas - the tours are of different lenghts, depending on your form and experience in riding. We are riding Iceland Horses. Riders sould be at least 9 years old and small kids can be leaded on the riding-ground by their parents. Remember to sign up for the tours.

Your family will love to go fishing at Vrøgum Fiskesø. The environment is beautiful and tranquil and you will find all the facilities you need; a place to gut the fish, a grill to fry it and a covered area with tables and benches to eat it. There’s also an area for digging worms.

Would you like to spend a family day with outdoor activities and fun? If so you will find challenges and adventures for the whole family in lovely surroundings in WOW PARK Skjern and Billund. Play in the treetops or on the forest's floor and say hello to the cute goats.
