Holiday home - 4 persons - Bro Skov - Bro Strand - 5464 - Brenderup

Cozy holiday cottage with all modern facilities, located in the rolling hills between Bro Strand and Middelfart. An excellent base of operations to explore Funen and other parts of Denmark!Fully equiped and well maintained kitchen with dishwasher, induction cooking, electrical oven, fridge, freezer and lots of cooking utensils, so you can actually use the kitchen to cook a full meal, which we did several times during our 8 day stay. WiFi worked flawlessly and it was great to have a washing machine and dryer available on the premises as well. Bathroom / shower space is quite limited, but sufficient enough, water pressure in the shower is superb. Fully cushioned patio lounge set, two parasols and a six seater garden table are provided as well, perfect!Almost no traffic along the quiet country roads that lead up to the cottage and the sprawling back garden. Lots of birds, butterflies and bees call the wild and flowery garden their home and in the early mornings and evenings we could hear elk / reindeer roaming about nearby, but unfortunately we did get to meet the squirrel family that supposedly resides there as well.Due to quite some rainfall during the first few days of our visit, the AC in the living room unfortunately short circuited on the third day of our stay, due to some moisture ingress in one of the electrical components on the outside of the building. We contacted Novasol the next day and a handyman came by the day after, to check some details and to discuss how to proceed. As the weather had cleared up in the meantime, we were not in a hurry to have the AC fixed, as we would be out and about during most of the days and (early) evenings anyway, so Novasol had ample time to contact the owners of the cottage to discuss the best way forward. When we returned to the cottage from a visit to the VikingeCenter in Ribe (highly recommended, especially for (young) kids!) later that week, the problem had basically solved itself, as the main switch in the fusebox did not fail anymore. Most probably the moisture inside of the electrical box outside had evaporated by then, to a point where it did not cause a short circuit anymore. Naturally, we updated Novasol by phone, so they could update the owners.All in all, a lovely, cozy place to spend a week or two to explore Funen and mainland Denmark. We really enjoyed our stay at Bro Skov 17, as the owners really put in the effort to make it a complete and cozy home away from home. Also, big compliment to Novasol for their help with the AC, clear communication and friendly service goes a long way!Highly recommended!

Schönes Haus in ruhiger Lage mit großer gut ausgestattete Terrasse und wunderschönem Garten .

We had a beautiful holiday in this lovely little dream cottage. The beds were good, everything was clean and cosy. We felt welcome. We loved all the birds and the hare in the garden. The location is excellent for exploring beautiful Fynn and the rest of Denmark. Great bakery at 3 km (Brenderup Bageri).Hope to come back some time!
