Ispra is a charming village on Lake Maggiore, perfect for pleasant walks along the lakefront among characteristic bars and restaurants. Just a 5-minute walk will take you to two small beaches where you can take a refreshing dip and sunbathe. Nearby you will also find a bar and a couple of restaurants to treat yourself to a gourmet break; while for shopping, the centre of Ispra is a short walk away. For everything else, we recommend that you have a car.
For those who like to explore, the boat to Intra will take you to the Borromean Islands, while in just 20 minutes by car you can reach Laveno for a scenic ferry ride.
History and culture enthusiasts can visit the numerous UNESCO sites in the province of Varese, such as the Sacro Monte and the Hermitage of Santa Caterina.
