Position

Thanks to the excellent location of the apartment, the lakeside of Laveno-Mombello, the main attractions and the most popular activities can be reached in just a few minutes. The picturesque lakeside promenade is a 5-minute walk away and offers a number of lakeside cafes and restaurants. The village is also a great base for exploring Lake Maggiore and the city of Varese, as the port of Laveno is connected to all the main Lake Maggiore destinations (2 minutes walk) and the train is arriving in Varese ( 5 minutes walk). The house is also located just a 5-minute walk from the ferry landing stage that takes you to Intra, on the Piedmont side of the lake.

In the center of Laveno-Mombello you can find a wide range of shops and restaurants, as well as a frequent ferry service for car passengers to the western shore towns: Verbania (for fine dining and historic sites), Intra ( to reach the boat tours of the island of Stresa Borromeo) and Pallanza (to reach the botanical gardens of Villa Taranto). All stops can be reached within 20 minutes by ferry. The iconic hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso is just 10 minutes away by car. Adventure lovers can instead board a panoramic cable car to reach the summit of Sasso del Ferro, a breathtaking panoramic point overlooking the lake and the surrounding mountains, just 10 minutes away by car.

The closest airport is Milan Malpensa, just 50 minutes away by car.
