The stairs to this apartment is very narrow, steep with tall steps. The worst part is on the top there’s no platform or a step to connect you from dining room to the bathroom. The only option to reach bathroom is to straddle on 2 steps from main room to bathroom which is a safety hazard for those who are elderly. It’s inconvenient to even carry anything to the bathroom as you need to hold onto railing with your hands in order to not fall down the stairs. The shower is also bad as it’s 2* 2 ft. It’s even small for me as a petite female. The air conditioning is only in the dining room area so it won’t reach or cool down the bedroom on the far corner of the apartment. As for the host she is rude and condescending when we ask her questions about the apartment or her appliances. The last straw is she demanded payment with cash for the cleaning fee, utility, and tourist tax, and we asked for help to exchange our USD to Euro, she started to complain and scold us for causing problems and not knowing how to pay. I told her we went to different banks in town and none would exchange money from $ to €. Italian banks do not exchange currency unless you’re a resident with a local bank account, not when you’re a tourist. We had tried different places in Cinque Terre ended up going far away and wasted most of the day cause of her unhelpfulness and lack of good customer service skills, not to mention rudeness.
