Take a holiday in Switzerland's southernmost valley and immerse yourself in a bygone era. Palazzo Petraglio offers around 200m2 of living space with 5 spacious bedrooms for 9 to 10 guests, two bathrooms with shower and WC, a spacious living room, a separate dining room, a large kitchen with an original Ticino fireplace and a large entrance hall. The house also has a wild, romantic garden - a rarity in a Ticino mountain village.
The house is fully furnished with old furniture and original oil paintings. A record player and an extensive record collection will make any nostalgia lover melt away. The house was gently renovated in 2020 and still exudes the charm of the old days. From the house you have the most beautiful view of the village, the village square with the church and over the entire valley to the Italian Po Valley.

Palazzo Petraglio is located in the 100-soul village of Monte above Mendrisio and is an ideal starting point for hikes and excursions in Ticino and northern Italy (Como, Varese, Cernobbio and Milan). The Valle dei Muggio is considered one of the most beautiful landscapes in Switzerland according to the Foundation for Landscape Conservation. Monte was first mentioned in 1420 and is still very original but well-preserved and non-touristy. In the village you will also find a shop for your daily needs and a good restaurant. The post bus only runs a few times a day. A car is therefore recommended for excursions into the surrounding area.
