Casa Maroli is a 300-year-old Bergell house that was renovated 10 years ago. Situated in the heart of the historic village of Castasegna, this charming holiday home offers you an unforgettable holiday. Castasegna is located in Bergell, on the border with Italy. Castasegna is a Castani village and the village centre is a national monument. The rental property is also located in the core zone. Bregaglia is a great hiking area, quietly situated, away from the big tourist hustle and bustle, in an unspoilt landscape with ancient villages. Lake Como and the Engadine are about 20 minutes from the flat. What you could do: Eat across the border and go for a walk... / go shopping or visit the market in Chiavenna... / take the train to Milan in 2.5 hours... / go cross-country skiing in Maloja... / swim in Lake Como ...

Location description: Castasegna is the charming village on the border between Bergell and Italy, with shopping facilities and restaurants within walking distance in Italy, combined with a walk along the Maira (valley river). Castasegna is divided into an older farming village and a younger palazzi village (built by wealthy returnees). Castasegna is also the chestnut village of Bregaglia, where chestnuts are harvested in October and various events are organised over a period of 10 days. C. is the southernmost village in the Swiss Bergells. Palm trees, vines, peach and arpricot trees grow here. A special attraction is the Villa Garbald, a conference centre and outstation of the ETH Zurich. Last but not least, Switzerland's famous Soglio products are made in C. (official guided tours)
