Description

Lush green vegetation, unspoilt nature and a crown of majestic peaks. The enchanting atmosphere, typical Ticino villages, historical strength and culture make Vallemaggia a magical place and a year-round hiking paradise.

What to eat at the grotto? Ticino cuisine, which is rooted in the pre-Alpine tradition, is characterised by recipes with simple and tasty flavours, but above all by the use of local products. In addition to numerous typical Ticino products such as wine, beer, grappa, nocino, gazzosa, chestnuts and various cheeses, it boasts unique products such as cicitt, farina bóna and Vallemaggia pepper. Ticinese-style minestrone, nettle soup, polenta and milk (a children's favourite), polenta and braised beef, polenta and cicitt, busecca, risotto and luganighetta, rabbit in salmì, stew, juicy grilled ribs and puntine, alpine cheese, gorgonzola, amaretti biscuits, bread cake, are dishes that are part of the Ticinese tradition. For example, cicitt - long, thin goat sausages from the valleys - and farina bóna, a special flour made from roasted maize, both of which are Slow Food presidia.
MOGHEGNO is a hamlet rich in tradition, located in a beautiful valley.The rustic house consists of: Entrance with laundry, on the 1st floor is the kitchen-living room, on the 2nd floor the bedroom with shower/WC. Pellet stove. Small garden of 6 m2. 50 m from the river, close to the shopping centre.
