The perfect starting point for trips out into nature. You are close to the creek where the salmon walk up to spawn, and right up by lovely hiking trails that go around the Munkebjerg forest with all its natural riches and close to Vejlefjord. A paradise for those who are interested in birds. If you are into golf, Vejle golf club is close by or what about a trip to Munkebjerg Casino.
Visit Vejle, one of Denmark's most cozy trading towns with a unique selection of shops. Experience the 900 meter beautiful pedestrian street in the heart of Vejle. If you are into culture, you must pass Kongernes Jelling with Vikinge graves and the rune stone. In Jelling, at the highest point in the landscape, the Viking kings Gorm the Old and Harald Bluetooth in the 900s created a monument that is completely unique in the Nordic context. Today you can see the church, the two large rune stones and the mounds as well as the remains of a huge ship-shaped stone setting.
At the modern visitor center Kongernes Jelling you can learn more about how the huge monuments were created 1000 years ago, about why they are called "Denmark's baptismal certificate" and not least about the first Viking kings in the world's oldest monarchy.
